
Unreal Engine 5, C++ - Sep 2024 to May 2025 - Lead/UI Programmer
Triage is a narrative driven first-person game I worked on for my college capstone on a team of 13. I served the role of Lead Programmer, managing programming tasks and status as well as contributing to the game’s UI, tooling, and gameplay. I created systems in Unreal for managing UI-based interations with the various systems in the game such as crafting and dialogue, as well as creating a custom dialogue tool in ImGui and C++ and import scripting for its created data. Our designers were able to employ this system to set up not only dialogue but cutscenes and in-game custom interactions with NPCs. I also occasionally worked on the post processing and more complex materials, and was responsible for the game’s overarching visual processing (the PS1-esque vertex wobble, dither, and pixelization.)
